  • A bank account is not required to use the Western Union service.

  • The transfer is completed within minutes, regardless of where you are in the world, depending on the operating hours of the agent location and time zone differences.

  • The fee varies depending on the amount of money being sent and the country from which it is sent. The sender always pays the fee at the sending location. Detailed information about the fee can be obtained from the local agent in the country from which the money is being sent.

  • Western Union offers services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Each Western Union location determines its own operating hours, but most have extended hours or operate 24 hours a day. In Serbia, the operating hours of locations providing Western Union services are adjusted to the operating hours of the agents.

  • In addition to a valid personal identification document, you need to know the following information: the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), the sender’s full name, the amount sent, and the country from which the money was sent (as well as the city if the transaction is from the USA or Mexico).

  • The sender receives the Money Transfer Control Number from the agent's staff immediately after sending the money, which must be provided to the recipient as it is required for collecting the money.

  • Only the person to whom the money is sent can collect it, and only that person should be given the form's information after sending the money. Additionally, each transfer is assigned a unique control number.

  • Minors cannot receive or send money.
